With its long-standing traditions in medical spa treatments and natural therapeutic factors, Medical SPA “Versmė” employs a range of rehabilitation methods, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, massage, psychological and social support, medication, and more. Additionally, the medical spa utilizes natural healing factors, such as therapeutic mud (peloids) and mineral water, to restore patients’ impaired biopsychosocial functions and maintain their achieved levels of functional capacity.

This comprehensive approach begins with reservations, reception, and both in-person and remote doctor consultations, and extends through treatment assignments, hotel room management, document signing, and performance tracking applications. It further includes integrated medical forms and other documents that expedite data processing and submission to relevant regulatory authorities, as well as data analytics, detailed reporting, and the capability to create and implement loyalty programs, alongside integration with third-party sales channels.
Currently, the AI model assists specialists in swiftly selecting the optimal room or treatment during periods of high patient inflow. Future developments will enable the full automation of reservation and reception processes, significantly reducing the need for specialist intervention.

3. Sustainability

Medical’s SPA “Versmė”, has developed a monitoring program for the impact of the mineral water used in the treatment process on groundwater. According to the agreement with LTD “Vilniaus hidrogeologija,” annual hydrogeological groundwater reports are prepared, and periodic laboratory tests of groundwater quality parameters are carried out in field and stationary laboratories, analyzing changes in the physical and chemical properties of the water.
In line with environmental protection principles, the company supports the development of environmentally friendly new technologies and products and aims to live more ecologically and sustainably: harmful measures to nature are not used, no pollutants are released into the environment, paper is conserved, the use of plastic is limited, and measures are implemented to optimize the reduction of electricity and heat consumption, including the implementation of landscaping work.

To reduce the amount of waste going to landfills, conserve natural resources, and prevent environmental pollution, we encourage employees to sort waste responsibly, separating recyclable secondary raw materials into designated containers. All hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated in the company’s operations is handed over to specialized waste management companies, and bulky as well as green waste is transported to a specialized facility. Waste accounting data and environmental information are submitted to the “GPAIS” and “AIVIKS” information systems.

1. Short description of your Medical Spa

Darkov Medical Spa is a leading spa and robotic rehabilitation resort in the Czech Republic and one of the oldest iodine spas in Europe. We specialise in the treatment of locomotive, nervous and circulatory system, skin and gynaecological diseases. In addition, conditions after injuries, surgeries and cerebrovascular events and burns are also successfully treated here. Provided care with more than 156 years of tradition is based on the natural wealth of iodine-bromine water with high content of iodine, the professional staff and the latest medical technology, including robotic devices. We are the winner of the European Spa Award 2022 in the category Robotic Rehabilitation.

2. Originality

Our scooter-based systematic rehabilitation method is entirely unique and has not been adapted from other medical spas. It was developed based on our own experience and observations of its effectiveness in enhancing the well-being of our patients. Furthermore, we conduct continuous research on its benefits for our clients through University of Ostrava and Sports Medicine Clinic.

1. Short description of your Medical Spa

Brusno Medical Spa is a modern professional health resort in a clean and quiet environment with several springs of natural healing water. Brusno Spa is located in the central Slovakia next to the Low Tatras mountains. It is a wonderful green oasis where you can spend pleasant moments of relaxation and can gain new strength. Also called as the Slovak Carlsbad due to the similar composition of the mineral waters with the tradition of spa since 1837. Main specialization is cardiology department which provides cardio treatment and vascular diseases. Other indication which we treat are gastroenterology, post-oncology, diabetes, respiratory system diseases, weight loss, pneumology and movements disorders. The part of the spa is Hotel Polana connected with the new well-being Roman bath Caracalla Spa.

Our approach to wellness and rejuvenation is unique and not adapted from other spas. We’ve developed our own signature wellness programs and treatments that blend diverse traditions to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

Located in two Lithuanian resorts – Druskininkai and Birštonas, Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija has accumulated many years of experience in the field of wellness. More than 100 different treatments and around 50 different tests are carried out here. Constantly improving with new treatments and innovative equipment introduced every year for guest of Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija. Our core mission of helping people regain, maintain and strengthen their health.

2. Originality

Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija is famous for its deep-seated medical spa treatment traditions and natural therapeutic factors: mineral water, therapeutic mud and climate. These natural factors, which have made Lithuanian resorts famous for centuries, are combined here in the medical spa with modern state-of-the-art technologies, innovative equipment, massage, kinesitherapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

3. Impact and benefits

We were the first healthcare organization in Lithuania to introduce a mobile app for clients who came to the Medical SPA. After downloading the mobile app of Eglės sanatorija, you will no longer need to carry a paper treatment card as all the necessary information will be on your smartphone. In the app, you will see the schedule of the treatments prescribed to you, you will be able to self-register upon arrival for the treatment, and finally – rate the employee who performed the treatment. You may also request to change the appointed time of your prescribed treatment.

Guests of the Medical SPA can also read news of the Medical SPA and follow the event calendar. Here you can mark the event you are interested in and receive a reminder when the date approaches. In the app, you also can submit deficiencies. This way, you can quickly inform the Medical SPA staff about the help or service you need. And you may browse the app in several languages, including Lithuanian, English, Russian, and German.

4. Sustainability

In 2023 due to the rapid increase in the number of solar power plants in Lithuania, the medical SPA Eglės sanatorija, which is indifferent to sustainability ideas, installed them in Birštonas and Druskininkai. Guests who come to medical SPA can now see the solar power plants installed on the roofs and enjoy the health-improving treatments performed while using sustainable energy.  

Also, this year, the EU-funded “Installation of charging points for private electric vehicles” project has been implemented at the medical SPA Eglės sanatorija. The aim of this project is the development of the charging network for private electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as EVs) in Lithuania. The project aims to directly address the network failure of private EV charging stations by financing the installation of conventional and medium-power charging points, enabling EV and workplace charging.
