The Work, Move and Perf (WMP) Conference took place on November 26, 2024, at the French National Olympic Committee headquarters<\/strong>. Organized by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Fran\u00e7aise du Sport d’Entreprise (FFSE) as part of the Erasmus+ WMP project, it focused on the effects of physical activity at work on employees\u2019 well-being and company performance. Thierry Dubois, <\/strong>President of the Conseil national des \u00e9tablissements thermaux (CNETh) and President of ESPA, attended the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key speakers included Skander Karaa, Managing Director of the CNOSF, Luciano Di Fonzo of Erasmus Mundus and Sport, and Didier Besseyre, President of FFSE. Charlotte Frueh-Richardot, WMP project coordinator, detailed the goals of the Erasmus+-funded initiative, which promotes physical activity in workplaces to enhance healthy lifestyles and productivity across Europe. Academic partners, including the University of Murcia and the University of Copenhagen, presented research findings on the positive impact of workplace physical activity on human, organizational, and economic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WMP project, running from January 2024 to December 2025, is the first EU study on this subject and involves partners such as the European Company Sport Federation and universities from Spain and Denmark. The initiative aims to convince stakeholders to integrate sport into workplace culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A roundtable explored the theme “Using the Olympic and Paralympic legacy to boost productivity and performance,<\/strong>” featuring speakers like Isabelle Jouin, Fabien Gilot, and Thierry Millet. Participants shared best practices and testimonies on implementing workplace physical activity, including Airbus Staff Association, Groupe BPCE Sports, and Manutan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also introduced practical tools, including MEDEF\u2019s calculator for measuring the economic impact of corporate sport. Discussions concluded with proposals for future initiatives, such as a European Observatory of Company Sport and a Company Sport Supporters Network, aiming to sustain the promotion of physical activity throughout Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
